Kommentar/Beschreibung

This module provides a foundational and practical introduction to Data Science in the context of maritime engineering. Students will learn about the structures, types, and sources of data, with a focus on digitalization in maritime systems. The course covers data processing, integration, and visualization, as well as core programming skills. Emphasis is placed on the application of data science to improve ship efficiency, detect anomalies, and leverage AI-based tools for technical problem-solving.

The course combines lectures, seminars, exercises, and self-study. Students will work independently on assignments and present selected results.
